How do I control my Flow with the Pebble App? Does it require internet access?

The Pebble App is the control center for your Pebble Flow. Adjust temperature, dim lighting, monitor battery state of charge and water levels, deploy InstaCamp, use Remote Control, activate Magic Hitch, and track energy usage from your iPad or iPhone.

No internet is required. The app connects directly to your vehicle over a direct local network connection, so you maintain full control even off grid. Plus if your iPad is lost or damaged, essential controls remain accessible through physical buttons on the vehicle.

The iPad version includes the complete feature set. The iPhone version delivers core controls in a streamlined interface. iPhone app availability is planned for the first half of 2026.

What is Magic Hitch™?

Magic Hitch™ is an automated hitching system that helps Pebble Flow align with and connect to your tow vehicle’s hitch ball.

After parking your tow vehicle or using Remote Control to position the Flow within a few of your tow vehicle’s hitch ball, the system uses onboard sensors to detect the ball. Once detected, activate it and Pebble Flow uses its motors, cameras, and onboard computer to complete the hitching sequence. The trailer positions the hitch above the ball, moves forward into place, and lowers itself to connect.

For safety, the process stops if you release the controls or if the Pebble loses connection with the iPad.

After the hitch is secured, you still complete the final towing steps such as attaching the 7-pin cable, safety chains, and breakaway cable.

Magic Hitch™ removes much of the stress from hitching up, making the process faster and easier.

What is InstaCamp™?

InstaCamp™ is an automated setup system that gets your Pebble Flow camp ready with a single tap.

When you select InstaCamp™ in the Pebble App, the trailer performs a coordinated setup sequence. It extends the front jack, levels the trailer, lowers the stabilizers, and deploys the stairs so you can settle in within seconds.

Press the InstaCamp™ button again and the system retracts everything in reverse order, preparing the trailer for departure.

How does Pebble Flow Remote Control work, and how fast can it move while being remote controlled?

After unhitching, you can use the Pebble App to maneuver Pebble Flow at low speeds into your campsite, a parking spot, or around your house. Remote Control makes navigating tight spaces easier and allows you to reposition the trailer in situations that would otherwise be difficult or impossible for a tow behind trailer attached to a tow vehicle.

On the iPad, use one hand to hold the activation button and the other to control direction. The vehicle stops if you release the activation button, release the direction control, press any of the exterior control buttons on the trailer, or if the iPad loses connection to the vehicle.

How far can I tow a Pebble Flow while using Easy Tow™ between charging stops?

Towing range depends on several factors, including your tow vehicle’s aerodynamics, battery capacity, and overall efficiency or fuel economy.

With Easy Tow™ activated, most long range EVs can achieve up to 250 miles of towing range between charging stops, with some exceeding 300 miles.

Pebble Flow’s Easy Tow™ system and aerodynamic design help reduce the load on the tow vehicle, improving efficiency and maximizing range while towing.

How much power can the Pebble Flow export? Can I use it to power my home during a blackout?

The 45 kWh battery offers roughly 3.5 times the capacity of a Tesla Powerwall and delivers up to 12 kW of output through an exterior mounted NEMA 14-50 outlet.

That means you can power campsite equipment, charge an EV, support another RV, or provide home backup power for several hours or even days, depending on your load.

What kind of battery is in the Pebble Flow?

Pebble Flow is equipped with a 45 kWh automotive grade Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery.

LFP chemistry is known for durability, thermal stability, and long cycle life. Unlike many other battery chemistries, LFP handles frequent charging to 100% without accelerated degradation. For that reason, we recommend charging your Flow to full at home and at camp to maximize available range, home backup storage, and off-grid time.

How do I charge the Pebble Flow? Can it use Tesla Superchargers or other DC fast chargers?

Pebble Flow supports several charging options, including home charging, campground hookups, and public charging stations.

Pebble Flow supports AC charging through a J1772 connector at home, campgrounds, or public charging stations. It also supports DC fast charging through the CCS1 connector at public fast chargers, with speeds up to 44 kW. Compatible networks include Electrify America, ChargePoint, EVgo, IONNA, and many others, including Rivian Adventure Network locations that are open to all vehicles.

Access to Tesla Superchargers is currently limited to locations equipped with Magic Dock. Support for Tesla’s Supercharging network through a separate NACS adapter is currently under development.

The optional 1.1 kW rooftop solar system can provide a continuous trickle charge while parked outside.

Do I need to use a surge protector when charging my Pebble Flow?

No. The electrical architecture is designed to protect the Flow’s internal systems, so an external surge protector is not required.

How long will the battery last on a single charge?

The 45 kWh battery, paired with 1.1 kW of rooftop solar, is designed to support up to seven days off grid.

All onboard systems draw some energy while operating. However, higher load systems such as HVAC, electric water heating, and tank heating will reduce runtime more quickly.

To extend your time off grid, we recommend conserving water and limiting the use of high load systems.

For longer stays off grid, consider additional energy sources. Today many gas and electric vehicles offer 110 V or 240 V power export and of course, a portable generator can also be used to recharge the Flow and extend your boondocking time.

How much does Pebble Flow weigh (GVWR), and can my EV (electric vehicle) tow it?

Pebble Flow has a dry weight of 5,800 lbs and a GVWR of 6,800 lbs, which accounts for cargo, water, and gear. Pebble Flow can be towed by many gas, hybrid, or electric tow vehicles - check with your manufacturer to confirm towing capacities.

All work well with Pebble Flow’s Easy Tow™ Active Tow Assist system, provided your tow vehicle is rated to tow at least 6,800 lbs. Easy Tow™ with Active Tow Assist reduces the load your vehicle experiences while towing, helping provide a safer and more effortless towing experience. It can improve fuel economy when towing with a gas-powered vehicle and help extend range when towing with an EV. Regardless of your tow vehicle’s fuel type, you can also switch the Pebble Flow into Recharge Mode to use regenerative braking to recharge the trailer’s battery while driving.

Importantly, Easy Tow™ does not change the required GVWR or tongue weight limits, and your tow vehicle must still meet the recommended towing capacity rating.

What is Pebble Flow’s tongue weight rating?

Pebble Flow has a recommended tongue weight of 680 lbs (309 kg). For proper weight distribution, tank levels and cargo placement should be balanced. To help monitor tongue weight, we recommend using a Weigh Safe hitch. A Weigh Safe hitch is included with Founders Edition trailers.

Is Pebble Flow designed for off-road use?

Pebble Flow performs well on dirt roads, gravel, and uneven campsites.

Pebble Flow includes 8 inches of ground clearance and 20 inches of clearance at the rear bumper. The trailer uses 33 inch Goodyear all season tires and features an 11.1 degree departure angle.Optional all terrain levelers adjust up to 3.6 degrees of tilt on uneven terrain. This setup removes the need for leveling blocks at many campsites and supports travel beyond paved roads.

However, we recommend avoiding particularly rocky trails and technical off road routes. Pebble Flow was not specifically designed as a dedicated off road trailer.

Is Pebble Flow a four season camper?

Pebble Flow supports year round camping with electric heating and cooling systems designed for a wide range of climates. However, extreme temperatures and heavy system use will reduce off grid duration. Battery performance may decrease in cold weather, and charging may slow while the battery warms to its optimal operating temperature.

When camping in freezing temperatures, take these precautions:

Turn on the tank and pipe heaters.

Keep cabin heat running overnight to prevent freezing.

Monitor water flow, as reduced or no flow may indicate frozen pipes. These typically thaw once the trailer warms up.

We recommend winterizing if temperatures remain below 32°F for extended periods or during storage.

What does maintenance and winterization look like for the Pebble Flow?

Pebble Flow reduces the maintenance common with traditional RVs. The fully electric system removes propane appliance upkeep. Regenerative braking helps reduce brake wear. Maintenance stays minimal. Regular tasks include occasionally flushing the gray and black tanks using Auto Dump and cleaning or replacing air filters.

To winterize, start by emptying the black and gray tanks using Auto Dump. Drain the fresh water tank, then blow out the water lines with an air compressor. Add RV antifreeze into the toilet and flush to protect the system. This process removes water and protects the plumbing.

Before each trip, check tire condition and confirm brake lights and turn signals are working.
